贾卉的作品直接运用形、色、光、质地等基础元素指涉宇宙万物的抽象概念，构成不同的未知空间，作品反映了艺术家在空白画布上对于“无中生有”的理解。通过绘画实践，艺术家检验并探索物理空间中关于“存在”的产生与其间的关系，尝试理解复杂全球化背景下事物存在的多样性与可能性。贾卉相信绘画媒介内部的绘画永不消亡，依旧涵着它诗意的空间。为此，艺术家试图应用各种传统和当代绘画技法，不断扩张绘画媒介的边界。贾卉近期参加的展览包括:“在各处”，工作室画廊，上海，2020;“只等江河入夏田”，大地艺术项目，上海，2020;“YUAN:贾卉梁浩杰双联展”，元曼艺术空间，上海，2019;“ChlorineArsenicSulfur”，Laura Space，芝加哥，2017;“To Gather Is To Engender New Poten9ali9es”，人无画廊，芝加哥，2016。 Jia Hui's works directly use the basic elements of form, colour, light and texture to refer to the abstract concept of everything in the universe, constituting different unknown spaces, reflecting the artist's understanding of the 'creation of something from nothing' on a blank canvas. Through his painting practice, the artist examines and explores the relationship between the production of 'existence' in physical space and the relationship between them, attempting to understand the diversity and possibilities of things in the context of complex globalisation. Jia Hui believes that painting within the medium never dies and still contains its poetic space. To this end, the artist attempts to apply various traditional and contemporary painting techniques in order to continuously expand the boundaries of the medium.
